Meet Ryan Davidson, one of our Systems Engineers at ITWORX UK. Ryan joined the team in December 2021 and brings a unique blend of technical problem-solving, creativity, and hands-on client support to his role.
From Audio Technology to IT
Ryan’s path into IT wasn’t a traditional one. He originally studied audio engineering and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Technology. However, his natural aptitude for technology and troubleshooting led him to pursue a career in IT.
Ryan began his journey at ITWORX UK as an apprentice, attracted by the opportunity to develop his skills in a supportive, employee-owned business. That foundation has helped him grow into his current role as a Systems Engineer.
A Day in the Life of a Systems Engineer
No two days look the same for Ryan. His time is split between on-site client visits, ensuring systems are secure, healthy, and up to date, and project work that supports customers’ evolving needs.
Alongside this, he also handles escalated support issues, meaning his workload can change significantly from day to day — something he enjoys.

Outside of Work
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys gaming and occasionally making music — a nod to his audio engineering background. He lives with his fiancée and their two cats.
