Our client is a growing engineering company based in Aberdeen, operating across multiple locations and supporting a workforce that relies heavily on secure, reliable technology to maintain day-to-day productivity.

With approximately 55 end-user devices, four office locations and a growing operational footprint, the organisation required an IT partner capable of providing both day-to-day support and long-term strategic guidance.

The Challenge

ITWORX first became involved when the organisation was preparing for an office relocation and required support to ensure the move could be completed with minimal disruption.

Infrastructure Management

We provide ongoing support and maintenance for the company's server infrastructure, network environment and Microsoft 365 platform. This includes proactive monitoring, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

End User Support

Supporting approximately 55 end-user devices across multiple locations, we provide day-to-day technical support, device management and lifecycle planning. From hardware refreshes to software deployment, we ensure employees have access to the tools they need to remain productive.

Cybersecurity Management

Cybersecurity forms a core component of the managed service. We maintain the organisation's Cyber Essentials Plus certification and manage a range of security controls including endpoint detection and response, device encryption, Multi-Factor Authentication and security policy enforcement.

Security Awareness Training

Technology alone cannot eliminate cyber risk. We regularly conduct simulated phishing campaigns, using specialist software to assess user awareness and identify potential vulnerabilities. Results are reviewed with staff through targeted training sessions delivered either remotely or in person.

Threat Monitoring and Protection

To strengthen visibility beyond the network perimeter, we provide dark web monitoring services that alert the organisation if company credentials or sensitive information appear within known criminal marketplaces or data breach repositories.

Backup and Business Continuity

Business continuity is supported through a combination of Microsoft 365 backups using Datto and comprehensive backup protection for on-premise servers. This ensures critical business data can be recovered quickly in the event of accidental deletion, cyberattack or infrastructure failure.

Communications and Collaboration

We manage the organisation's hosted VoIP telephony platform alongside Microsoft 365 licensing and associated services. We have also implemented cloud-managed email signature solutions to simplify administration and ensure consistency across the business.

Strategic IT Leadership

As part of the managed service engagement, we provide regular on-site visits, monthly account management and bi-annual strategic reviews. These sessions allow us to align technology investments with business objectives while identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency and future growth.
