Telephony - Hosted
The Benefits of Hosted Telephone System
Cost efficiency
Hosted telephony solutions are much cheaper than traditional landline systems, as they do not require expensive hardware to operate. As hosted telephony works over the internet, you use your existing internet connection to make calls. This eliminates the expense of line rental and maintenance and makes a service you are already paying for more cost effective.
Flexibility
As hosted telephony solutions operate over the internet, users can access their service providers from any location with an internet connection. While you can keep your old phone number, you are no longer tied to the local telephone exchange area that you were previously using. Experience complete call freedom, at home, in the office, or on the go.
Resiliency
For businesses just like yours, time is money. You cannot afford to experience downtime or restrictive communication delays when there is a hardware or internet outage. Fortunately, hosted telephony solutions can automatically and seamlessly failover to backup connections or be diverted to another destination in the result of an outage, meaning that you never have to sacrifice your availability.
Are you working remotely?
Good communication is the lifeline of modern businesses and now that many of us are working from home and with the beginning of the ISDN Switch Off, we highly recommend switching to a hosted/cloud phone system.
Having a simple to use platform, that is accessible anywhere, anytime and on any device, will not only improve communications but also organise communications across multiple technologies, in to one central platform.
In simple terms, a hosted telephone system is one that sits in a network data centre (known as the Cloud) rather than at your premises. Users manage the system through a web interface or mobile app and make calls over the service, through their data connection. An easy-to-use web portal provides you with a dashboard giving you convenient access to information, such as call history, voicemail and recorded calls. Personalised settings can be set quickly and easily, ensuring your calls are handled effectively.
While 2025 may still sound a long way off, the phase out of the ISDN Switch Off has already begun, meaning BT will not install any new ISDN systems or services. One of the significant benefits of switching to a hosted phone system, is that with most employees now working from home, remote working is quick and easy to set up, wherever there is an internet connection. You can make and receive business landline calls, anywhere, as if you were in the office.
