Meet Brandon Reid, Services Technician at ITWORX UK

Brandon joined ITWORX UK in September 2024 as a Services Technician and has quickly become a valued part of the team. With an HND in Games Design (Digital Design & Development) and currently studying for his HND in IT Support through the QA Apprenticeship Programme, Brandon brings a strong mix of technical know-how and a passion for problem-solving.

Brandon’s Background

Brandon’s journey into IT began in the gaming world, but it was his interest in troubleshooting and improving systems that drew him toward IT support. Through the QA Apprenticeship Programme, he’s gained confidence, developed new skills, and learned how to apply his training directly to his day-to-day work.
“The QA Apprenticeship has been great for building my confidence and giving me the chance to apply what I’ve learned in my daily work,” says Brandon.

A Day in the Life of a Services Technician

In his role, Brandon balances a variety of tasks — from answering client calls and emails to resolving support tickets, managing deliveries, and assisting colleagues with their cases. This variety, combined with direct client interaction, keeps every day interesting.

“What I enjoy most about working at ITWORX UK is getting to know our clients better,” he explains. “I also love that I’m learning something new every day that helps me grow my skills.”

Outside the Office

When he’s not helping clients and colleagues, Brandon keeps active at the gym, enjoys gaming, relaxes with anime, and works on home projects.

• Favourite Tech Gadget: His home-built PC, as “it can be upgraded with new parts to keep it up to date and running at top speed. It also allows me to run games with better performance and higher frame rates.”
